Squads
The main focus of our programs is providing diverse and inclusive opportunities for swimmers of all ages and abilities in South West Sydney. Our squads offers a fun, family atmosphere to encourage and motivate our members to achieve their personal swimming goals. Currently our swimmers primarily reside in the Canterbury Bankstown region, the Liverpool region, the Sutherland Shire area, the St George region and the
Macarthur area.
We work hard to offer opportunities for all levels of swimmers – from swimmers learning the basics of racing and general fitness to swimmers
competing in national and international competitions.
In partnership with Canterbury Bankstown council we have had a number of amazing achievements from our members this season including:
- Female swimmer selected on Australian Dolphins team to compete at World Championships in
Budapest (June/July) and Commonwealth Games in Birmingham (August/September)
- Male swimmer selected for Junior Australian Open Water Team to compete at World Junior Open
Water Championships in Seychelles (September)
- Head Coach (Alex Clarke) selected as Australian Coach for Junior Australian Open Water Team to
compete at World Junior Open Water Championships in Seychelles (September)
- Male Multi-Class swimmer selected on Para Olympic Performance Target Squad
- 8 senior athletes selected on NSW Swimming and Swimming Australia pool/open water
performance squads
- Multiple National and NSW State medallists in pool and open water championships
- First place club at NSW Open Water Championships.
Harlee Elite squads, grow our grass roots development of junior swimmers in the local area. Many of our older swimmers
have greatly benefitted from the employment and training opportunities offered by the Council and Harlee
Elite to build a career in the aquatics industry. Senior swimmers have undertaken pool lifeguard and swim
teacher qualifications to successfully gain employment at Council aquatic facilities and give back to the
community.
We look forward to seeing the memories and personal achievements of swimmers season to season, and I am sure you wish to be apart of it.
